Roberto Rico

Roberto Rico, an Artist comfortable working in almost any medium: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Pen n Ink, Mixed Media, Charcoal and more, he started Drawing at an early age, at 14 he received a full scholarship to the Prestigious National Institute of Fine Arts, (INBA) where he studied Classic Drawing, Composition and Perspective. He then went on to Study Art History and Color Theory in The Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, during this time he won numerous awards in Pencil work and Drawing from Life. He then went traveling through the United States and Canada working and attending various art workshops and seminars, doing freelance work in the Art related field.
Roberto settled down in Southern California where he enrolled in Moorpark College to study Art Appreciation and Human Anatomy. After a few years he enrolled in the Graphic Arts Department of The Learning Tree University in Thousand Oaks, California, where he then went to pursue a career in the Printing Business. In 1994 he came to Las Vegas for a visit and decided to make it his hom. He is very active in the Arts in the State of Nevada, has been in the Board of Directors of The Henderson Artists Association, a member of the Contemporary Arts Collective, and a very active member of The Left of Center Arts Studio and Gallery. Roberto was President of The Las Vegas Artists Guild in 2009-10.
